FAQ

Is your wedding coverage really unlimited? What’s the catch?
No catch. My job is to tell the story of your wedding day, and I don’t want you to be worrying about having to schedule your day around the photographer. Basically, I start whenever you tell me to start, and I don’t leave until you do!

Where are you located?
I’m based out of Waco, TX.

Do you travel? What are your travel fees?
Absolutely I travel! There are no travel costs up to 60 miles outside of the Waco area. Email me for additional travel quotes.

How long will it take before I can see my images?
Typically, wedding images take between 8 weeks to process and edit. At this point, they will be put on a password protected online gallery for you to share with your family and friends!

How many photos should we expect?
For weddings, expect between 400 – 800 images. Portrait sessions typically range between 40 – 80 images.

Will we get to keep the high-resolution image files?
Definitely! I believe that you should be able to keep the images from your own wedding day.

Do you edit all of the photos?
Yes, all of the images on your disc will be fully edited!

If my package includes a disc of high-resolution images, why should I buy prints from you?
You are definitely free to print your images anywhere you like (and I encourage you to print your images), but not all print labs are not created equally. I work with a professional print lab that will ensure the highest quality print with absolutely perfect color fidelity, accuracy, and consistency.

Why are engagement sessions important?
Beyond the obvious reasons to get your engagement pictures taken, these sessions are a great way for me to get to know the couple. You’ll be able to get a feel for how I work and get a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera before your big day!

What is a “first look”?
A first look is when the bride and the groom see each other before the wedding.

Isn’t that bad luck? Why should I even consider a “first look”?
It’s definitely not bad luck at all. In fact, I would HIGHLY recommend it! There are several benefits to a “first look,” both for the photographer and the couple. From the couples’ point of view, the very first time you see each other on your wedding day is alone in a quiet setting. It’s a special moment just between the two of you where you’re able to anticipate becoming husband and wife! You can laugh. You can cry. You can be silent. It is most definitely a moment just for you. From a photographer’s point of view, we’ll be unobtrusively snapping away as we capture all of the raw and beautiful emotions. After the first look, we’re also able to take many of the formal shots that would typically be done after the ceremony. You can then go straight on to your reception without waiting around to finish the photos. If you decide not to do a first look, you might want to consider a “Day After” session.

What is a “Day After” session?
A “Day After” session is best thought of as a post-wedding engagement shoot. Basically what happens is that the bride and the groom get dressed back into their wedding attire and we go out and shoot the really awesome shots of the couple alone that we might not have had the time to do on the wedding day. This could literally be the “day after” the wedding or it could be as far as a month after.
