I graduated from Baylor University and received my BFA in Studio Art Photography. I learned the practice of photography on film (yes, the old school analog kind!) and spent countless hours in the darkroom. Learning on film taught me a discipline of excellence that I wouldn’t have been able to learn had I started on digital. With film, I learned how to think about what I was shooting and why. I only had 36 frames per roll, so I learned how to make them count. This lesson of doing things with excellence has been invaluable. I began my photography business immediately after graduation and have been photographing ever since. I work with the goal that the photos I take will one day become family heirlooms to be shared with and cherished by children and grandchildren.
I am currently based in Austin, TX. And in addition to photography, I spend much of my time in the creation of paintings and drawings, of which I am equally passionate about. The remainder of my time is spent with involvement in my local church and hanging out with friends.
